Just In: Clinton Says Trump Never Indicated Epstein Involvement in House Deposition. Full story in the link below
Former President Bill Clinton testified during a recent deposition before the House Oversight Committee that former President Donald Trump never said anything to suggest he was involved with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, according to Committee Chairman James Comer.
Comer stated that during the closed-door testimony, Clinton was asked about his past interactions with both Trump and Epstein.
According to the chairman, Clinton said that in his conversations with Trump over the years, Trump “has never said anything to me to make me think he was involved” with Epstein.
The deposition is part of the committee’s broader review related to Epstein’s associates and the circumstances surrounding his activities.
Lawmakers have sought testimony from several high-profile figures who had past connections or interactions with the financier.
Clinton has previously acknowledged flying on Epstein’s private plane and meeting him on multiple occasions, while maintaining that he was unaware of Epstein’s criminal conduct at the time.
Trump has also faced scrutiny over past social interactions with Epstein, though he has denied wrongdoing and has said he severed ties with him years before Epstein’s 2019 arrest.
The committee has not publicly released a full transcript of Clinton’s testimony.
It remains unclear whether additional witnesses will be called as the investigation continues.
