Breaking: Iran Offers 5-Year Nuclear Pause, Trump Rejects It and Demands 20 Years
Iran has reportedly told negotiators that it is ready to pause its uranium enrichment for up to 5 years as part of a possible nuclear deal.
But the United States under Donald Trump rejected the offer, insisting that Iran must stop enrichment for 20 years instead.
According to Al Jazeera English citing Iranian and US officials, this disagreement has become one of the biggest reasons the talks are failing.
The issue is about nuclear control — Iran wants a shorter suspension, while the U.S. wants a much longer one.
