News: Iran President Begs Europe to Step In and Push US Back to Peace Talks — Says Iran Wants Negotiation, Not War
Iran’s President, Masoud Pezeshkian, has called on Europe to step in and help push the United States back to the negotiation table, saying diplomacy remains the best way to solve disputes.
According to Al Jazeera, the Iranian president was in a phone call with France’s President, Emmanuel Macron, where he said Iran is still open to talks and believes Europe and diplomacy are the best ways to solve the ongoing disagreement.
He explained that even though some progress was made between negotiators, the deal failed because of too many demands and lack of strong political will from senior US leaders.
Pezeshkian also warned that using threats, pressure, or military force will only make the situation worse, not solve it.
According to him, Iran still prefers peace talks but will also protect its national interests.
