Beyonce & Destiny’s Child hang out at Tim Weatherspoon’s 50th birthday bash
The iconic girl group was last seen together on stage in 2018 for a surprise performance at Coachella
Destiny’s Child, the iconic girl group that took the world by storm in the late ’90s, treated fans to an unexpected reunion during the 50th birthday celebration of Kelly Rowland’s husband, Tim Weatherspoon.
The impromptu gathering took place at the glamorous Fleur Room in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams graced the stage for a special rendition of “Happy Birthday” dedicated to the birthday honoree.
The performance, described as a “highlight” of the evening, left a lasting impression on the star-studded guest list, which included The Weeknd, Kris Jenner, Corey Gamble, and Jay-Z.
“Kelly and Tim’s sons joined them to blow out their father’s candles,” shared an insider with Page Six, referencing the couple’s children, Titan and Noah.
Despite Beyoncé’s departure from the group in 2005, the trio has maintained a close friendship over the years.
In 2021, both Beyoncé and Michelle Williams rushed to Kelly Rowland’s side, being present in the delivery room for the birth of her youngest son.
Williams even hinted at the possibility of a group reunion, expressing openness to the idea of joining forces with original members LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson.
This recent reunion comes on the heels of a heartwarming throwback shared by LeToya Luckett, featuring the OG Destiny’s Child members at Beyoncé’s Reinassance show in Houston in September of 2023.
Luckett’s caption reflects on the beautiful moments experienced in 2023 and expresses hope for more in the coming year.
While the recent reunion and throwback picture have ignited fan excitement and speculation about potential future collaborations, Destiny’s Child remains tight-lipped about concrete reunion plans.
The group’s rich history includes 10 top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and several chart-topping albums, leaving fans eager for any hint of future musical endeavors
