‘Inappropriate’ Barron Trump comments force NYU college Republican president to resign…

The president of NYU’s College Republicans has been forced to step down after making an “inappropriate” comment about Barron Trump and now the organization wants him to replace her.

The president’s youngest son joined New York University in the fall of 2024 but has had an elusive presence on campus, according to his classmates. Kaya Walker, the now-former president of the NYU chapter of College Republicans, spoke to Vanity Fair about Barron’s mysterious social life.

“He’s sort of like an oddity on campus,” she said. “He goes to class, he goes home.” Kaya also recalled that one of her NYU professors had joked that Barron “doesn’t really belong here.”

College Republicans of America (CRA) addressed the comments in a statement posted on X, as they revealed Kaya has now submitted her resignation. “In response to recent events with our NYU chapter, College Republicans of America formally invites Barron Trump to join us in reshaping the Republican Party,” the organization wrote alongside a screenshot of their statement.

They accused Vanity Fair of “unfairly framing” what Kaya said but “still found it to be inappropriate” and concluded that it does not align with the values and principles they uphold. CRA President Will Donahue had a message for Barron as he invited him to join the organization.

“Barron Trump represents the future of the conservative movement, and we would be honored to have him join College Republicans of America,” he said. Donahue added: “Strong leadership is built on resilience, courage, and the humility to rise above petty hostility – qualities that Barron has already demonstrated. We invite Barron to join us in shaping the future of our party.”

Barron’s mother, Melania Trump, has described him as “very vocal” when advising his father and he’s been credited with playing a key role in Donald Trump’s 2024 election success. But despite being possibly the most famous student currently at NYU, his peers know little about him.

The six-foot-nine teenager, who’s been spotted arriving at NYU in a five-SUV motorcade while surrounded by Secret Service agents, keeps a low profile and doesn’t have much involvement in campus life or activities. Social media personality Justin Waller described Barron to Vanity Fair as “the kind of guy that can start a business that can go public, but he also can sit down and drink a beer with the individual that’s running his manufacturing facility.”

Maria Arana, a 21-year-old NYU student, noted that despite Barron not having a notable on-campus presence, there’s been a political shift on the historically liberal campus since his dad’s second term began. “I’ve seen a lot of people just kind of keep it more to themselves,” she admitted.
