The Royal Family (Including Kate Middleton) Reunited Today—But I Noticed Something Super Surprising About King Charles Full story here 👇👇
It’s only been a few weeks since the royal family reunited publicly and now they’re back together again for the Ceremonial Welcome at the Horse Guards Parade in London. But while it’s not out of the ordinary to have everyone together, I did spot one surprising detail about King Charles III…his height difference compared to the rest of the group.
Yup, going through dozens of photos from today’s event, I noticed that everyone from Prince William to Kate Middleton seem to be a lot taller than the king. Don’t believe me? Check out the images for yourself.
In the photo above, you’ll notice the striking height difference almost immediately as King Charles III stands in the middle. For context, Prince William is 6’3″ while the king is 5’10”. Although the Princess of Wales is actually shorter than the king (she’s only 5’9″), her boots gave her a major advantage at the ceremony.
In fact, Prince William is considered the tallest royal family member with his brother Harry coming in second at 6’2″ and the late Prince Philip at 6’0″. Guess we know where they got their height from, hm?
The royal family was joined by Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and his wife Sheikha Jawaher. This was the first of many engagements that they’ll have with the royals this week.
And if you’re a bit curious about their heights, I did some digging and His Highness is between 6’3″ and 6’5″. Meanwhile Her Highness is more on par with King Charles III (or shorter) due to the side-by-side comparison in the images.
Although Queen Camilla wasn’t in the initial photos, she did attend the event. It was just a week ago that Buckingham Palace released a health update about the queen, where she had to pull out from an engagement (and the potential public reunion with Kate). However, she did join her family inside, where they showed their guests a display of Qatari items from the Royal collection.
