BREAKING:From “Lock Her Up” chants to possible contempt charges.
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee is warning Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton that they could face contempt of Congress if they fail to appear for closed-door depositions tied to Jeffrey Epstein.
According to Politico, committee members say the Clintons are legally obligated to testify and have still not confirmed their appearances after already postponing once.
“If the Clintons do not appear, the committee will initiate contempt proceedings,” a lawmaker warned.
That rarely used power can range from a symbolic rebuke to possible arrest and compelled testimony, with reports suggesting Capitol Police could be involved if the standoff escalates.
The subpoenas were issued last year by committee chair James Comer, as scrutiny intensifies around Epstein’s powerful connections.
High stakes. No more delays. Congress is signaling it’s done waiting.
