BREAKING NEWS:Trump Says He’ll Skip Super Bowl LX, Slams Halftime Performers Bad Bunny and Green day.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump, long known for his high-profile appearances at major sporting events, will not be attending Super Bowl LX next month in San Francisco.

The announcement marks a notable departure from Trump’s usual presence at marquee games, including the Daytona 500, multiple UFC events, the College Football Playoff national championship, and last year’s Super Bowl—where he became the first sitting president to attend the event.

In an interview with the New York Post, Trump confirmed his absence from this year’s Super Bowl while sharply criticizing the musical acts scheduled to perform.

Global Latin music star Bad Bunny is set to headline the halftime show, with iconic pop-punk band Green Day slated to perform during the opening ceremony.

Both artists have previously spoken out against Trump, a history that appears to have fueled his disapproval.

“I’m anti-them. I think it’s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible,” Trump said, referring to the performers.

The halftime show selection has already sparked debate among fans, with Bad Bunny’s involvement drawing mixed reactions online.

Despite the backlash, the artist has brushed off the criticism, while Jay-Z—whose Roc Nation has overseen Super Bowl halftime shows since 2019—has publicly defended the decision.

Trump, however, insists that his decision to skip the Super Bowl is not driven by the performers.

Instead, he cited logistics, saying the distance to San Francisco was the main factor.

“It’s just too far away. I would [go]. I’ve gotten great hands at the Super Bowl.

They like me,” Trump said. “I would go if, you know, it was a little bit shorter.”

The announcement quickly ignited a wave of reactions on social media, many of them mocking or critical.

Some users suggested Trump was avoiding potential boos from the crowd, while others welcomed his absence altogether.

“He’s skipping because he would get booed out of the stadium,” one user wrote on X.
“What a huge, delightful break for the Super Bowl,” another commented.

As Super Bowl LX approaches, Trump’s decision—and his blunt remarks—have added another layer of controversy to an event already known for blending sports, entertainment, and politics on the world’s biggest stage.
