BREAKING:Trump Claims Iran Planned to Destroy Israel as U.S.–Israel Offensive Reshapes Middle East.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has made strong claims about Iran’s intentions toward Israel and the broader region, saying the Iranian leadership had planned widespread destruction before a joint military campaign by the United States and Israel dramatically altered the balance of power in the Middle East.

In a phone interview with the The Times of Israel, Trump said Iran had posed a direct and existential threat to Israel and neighboring states.

According to him, the actions taken by Washington and Jerusalem were aimed at preventing what he described as a looming regional catastrophe.

“Iran was going to destroy Israel and everything else around it,” Trump said during the interview.

“We’ve worked together. We’ve destroyed a country that wanted to destroy Israel.”

Trump’s remarks come amid reports of a sweeping military confrontation between Israel and Iran.

The conflict intensified following major Israeli strikes beginning on February 28, 2026, targeting strategic sites in Tehran and other key locations linked to Iran’s leadership and military infrastructure.

The strikes reportedly resulted in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, a development that has sent shockwaves throughout the region and sparked fierce retaliation from Iranian forces.

Iran has responded with missile and drone strikes targeting Israeli territory, further escalating the confrontation.

As the situation unfolds, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been coordinating closely with U.S. leadership.

Trump noted that while Netanyahu would have input regarding the timing and strategy for ending the conflict, the final decision would ultimately rest with Washington.

The ongoing conflict is widely seen by analysts as one of the most consequential geopolitical developments in the Middle East in decades.

Military exchanges between Iran and Israel have raised concerns about a broader regional war, with neighboring countries closely monitoring the situation and preparing for potential spillover effects.

Beyond the immediate military consequences, the confrontation is also reshaping diplomatic alignments across the region.

Governments throughout the Middle East are reassessing their security strategies as the balance of power shifts in the wake of the escalating crisis.

While the long-term outcome remains uncertain, many observers agree that the events unfolding now could permanently redefine the political and security landscape of the Middle East.

As the conflict continues and international reactions emerge, the global community is watching closely to see whether the crisis moves toward further escalation or a negotiated resolution. 🌍⚠️
