Just In : WASHINGTON — In a stunning display of fiscal responsibility, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) filed an amended financial disclosure form Friday, bravely admitting she had “mistakenly” reported her household wealth as $6–$30 million when it is, in fact, a far more modest $18,000–$95,000.

“It was a simple accounting error,” Omar explained in a statement.

“My accountant must have confused our real finances with the imaginary profits from my husband Tim Mynett’s California winery, eStCru LLC.”

The winery in question is a highly successful ghost operation that exists primarily on paper, in shared storage units, and in the fever dreams of venture capitalists.

Despite having no visible vineyard, no wine for sale to the public, and a colorful history of fraud allegations, the business was previously valued in the millions — until it mysteriously evaporated like a fine Malbec left out in the Minnesota sun.

Omar’s office insists the congresswoman is “definitely not a millionaire” and that the correction proves she has nothing to hide.

“We caught the mistake the second someone pointed out the numbers made zero sense,” a spokesperson said.

“That’s just good governance.”
Critics, of course, are divided: some claim Omar is very corrupt, while others insist she is incredibly stupid.

A growing number of political observers believe the correct answer is “yes.”
