Travis Kelce #87 of the Kansas City Chiefs looks on during the national anthem prior to an NFL football game between the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs at Empower Field At Mile High on Oct. 29, 2023, in Denver, Colo.
Fans Can’t Get Enough of Travis Kelce Calling in a Dinner Order to His Mother During Chiefs Game
‘He’s got his priorities right while the game is going on.’
Travis Kelce’s famous charm is once again winning over the Internet.
This time, a viral video of Kelce is circulating, in which the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is mic’d up for game day. However, rather than chat about the game unfolding in front of him, Kelce asks a member of the coaching staff to phone his mother, Donna Kelce, with his specific dinner order.
“Can you call my mother for me from that phone right there?” the NFL star asks in the footage, which already has over 100,000 likes. “Can you call my mother and tell her that I don’t want the macaroni and cheese with the regular noodles.”
His big ask? “I want the gnocchi.”

Unsurprisingly, fans couldn’t get enough of Kelce’s request, flooding the video’s comments section with hilarious responses. For instance, one fan chimed in, “He’s got his priorities right while the game is going on.”
Another referenced his budding romance with Taylor Swift, adding, “Taylor better take some notes…🤣.”
A third commented, “dude is a legend my God.”
Although, most fans poked fun at the Kansas City Chiefs staffer, who wrongly corrected Kelce’s pronunciation of gnocchi.
One fan even replied, “Not Travis saying it perfectly and the man correcting him wrong 😂.”
Another added, “‘gah-nah-chee’ baaaahahaha that man did him wrong.”
We can’t say we’re surprised that Kelce has his mind set on food during games, as he has proven himself to be quite the foodie. After visiting his pop star girlfriend in Argentina during her Eras Tour, the couple went out to eat some of the local cuisine.
Upon his return to the States, Kelce couldn’t help but relay to his brother and podcast co-host, Jason Kelce, everything he consumed while away. “We got some good food, man—had some empanadas and steak. They’re big on all the different cuts of meat,” he told his brother on an episode of their New Heights podcast. “Got some good steak down there, man.”
We wonder if this viral video will become a topic on their next episode?
