BREAKING: TRUMP THREATENS TO PUSH SPAIN OUT OF NATO OVER IRAN CONFLICT
A leaked Pentagon memo has sparked controversy: the U.S. is reportedly considering punishing NATO allies who refused to support military operations against Iran… and Spain is at the center of the storm.
Madrid drew a clear line. The government of Pedro Sánchez closed its airspace and denied access to key U.S. bases like Rota and Morón for any Iran-related operations.
Trump didn’t hold back, calling Spain “a terrible ally” and hinting at possible economic retaliation. The message? Washington wants to send a “strong signal” to Europe.
⚖️ But here’s the twist: the U.S. cannot unilaterally expel a country from NATO. Any such move would require full alliance agreement — and there’s no clear mechanism to do it. Even the Pentagon has downplayed the leak.
Still, the damage is done. Tensions are rising, Europe is reacting, and a visible crack inside NATO is now out in the open.
Is this just political pressure… or the start of a deeper rupture in the West?
