BREAKING NEWS: TRUMP URGES REPUBLICANS TO BYPASS DEMOCRAT OBSTRUCTION AND USE BUDGET RECONCILIATION TO END 70-DAY DHS SHUTDOWN
President Trump is demanding House Republicans unify and use budget reconciliation to force through funding for the Department of Homeland Security after more than 70 days of shutdown.
“DHS has been shut down since the middle of February,” reports Bill Melugin. “We’re talking more than 70 days at this point.”
Trump posted directly on Truth Social: “We need all Republicans to join together and support this Budget Blueprint, which will allow us to bypass Democrat obstruction in the Senate, and fund Immigration Enforcement with only Republican Votes.
The Senate passed this Blueprint last week on Thursday morning, and now, House Republicans must UNIFY, and pass the same Blueprint to get the Bill done.”
Speaker Mike Johnson backed the push: “We have to make sure law is enforced and the border is safe and secure. Democrats don’t want to have any part of that.”
The urgency is heightened after Saturday’s assassination attempt on President Trump, with both DHS and Secret Service operating without full funding for over two months.
